Martha Binetti, Secretary Martha is currently working as a full-time secretary for Seashore Family Services of New Jersey. She provides daily office support in Seashore Family Services’ Brick office. Martha has fourteen years Administrative Assistant experience working with office managers and as an assistant to the president in numerous marketing companies. Through her work experience, she has gained an expertise in practical computer knowledge and organizational ability. She has a pleasant personality and enjoys helping staff and clients in any area necessary. Martha has enjoyed working at Seashore Family Services of New Jersey for the past six years.
Denise Blevin, Secretary Denise provides daily office support in the Brick Office. She possesses more than twelve years of legal secretarial experience in both the private and corporate sectors. Prior to joining SFSNJ, Denise worked for PNC Bank as an Administrative Legal Assistant to the Executive Vice President of PNC’s NJ Legal Department for six years. She also spent six years managing a private firm specializing in Labor Relations/Negotiations. Through her work experience, she has gained a great deal of practical knowledge and organizational ability. She truly enjoys interacting with people and is pleased that working at Seashore Family Services affords her the opportunity to do so.
Maurice Buki, BA, Alcohol & Drug Counselor Intern Maurice currently works as a Counselor Intern for Seashore Family Services of New Jersey (SFSNJ) and is responsible for providing substance abuse evaluations, screenings, and conducting outpatient groups. Prior to joining SFSNJ he has worked as a Residential Counselor, and Counselor Aide in both Atlantic County and Boulder, Colorado. He obtained his Bachelors degree in Psychology from Towson State University and is currently pursuing his CADC. Maurice is also pursuing options to obtain his MSW . He is a firm believer in the 12 Step program.
Denise Dowling, CADC, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor She currently works as a substance abuse counselor at Seashore Family Services of New Jersey. Prior to joining SFSNJ in April, 2005, She worked as a substance abuse counselor for Ocean Medical Services in Toms River, New Jersey and has over 10 years experience working in the field of addiction. Mrs. Dowling currently serves as the liaison to the Ocean County Drug Court Program and is a member of the treatment team there. Ms. Dowling is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor by The Division of Consumer Affairs since July 2003. Lisa Fobian, Alcohol and Drug Counselor Intern Lisa recently joined Seashore Family Services of NJ in February 2010. Lisa currently holds her associates degree in social sciences and is currently working towards her Bachelor’s degree. Lisa has also completed all coursework and required training hours for her certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Lisa has worked in the field of addictions primarily with adults with co-occurring disorders for the past 4 years. Lisa currently serves as the PTSO president of her daughter’s school and spends many hours volunteering at her childrens’ schools and in the community.
Gail Grieco, BS, CADC, CSW, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Mrs. Grieco joined Seashore Family Services of New Jersey as a substance abuse counselor on 2007. She provides group, individual and family counseling. She brings to the job 21 years of experience working with individuals with substance abuse and their families. Prior to joining SFSNJ, Mrs. Grieco was Substance Abuse Initiative, (SAI), Care Coordinator for NCADD-NJ, working with welfare recipients with a substance abuse problem, including dual diagnosis and DYFS-involved. She received her Bachelors Degree at Lyndon State College, Vermont. She is a Certified Social Worker and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor by the State of NJ.
Lynn Hahm, LPC, Licensed Professional Counselor Mrs. Hahm is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 20 years of experience working with adolescents, adults and families both in mental health and substance abuse. Lynn holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Kean University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Cedar Crest College. She was a teacher for several years while raising her own family, before moving into the field of mental health. She worked for many years at 180, Turning Lives Around, specializing in the effects of domestic violence, and also served as the Executive Director of Ocean’s Harbor House where she worked with adolescents and families. Lynn joined our staff at Seashore Family Services in September 2008.
Bero Kobi, Driver Mr. Bero Kobi currently works as a driver of Seashore Family Services of New Jersey (SFSNJ.) Mr. Kobi has served his country in the branch of the U.S. Army and is honored as a Vietnam War Veteran. Mr. Kobi joined the SFSNJ team with over forty years of experience and expertise in business. Owning and operating a Drywall company and a family Florist has given Mr. Bero Kobi years of administrative, management, and customer service skills and experience. Mr. Kobi and his wife are very active in the community. Mr. B. Kobi is a member of the Elks, American Legion, and AmVets. Upon retiring and dissolving the family businesses, Mr. Kobi continued helping others and chose to re-enter the job market as a part-time driver for SFSNJ. Mr. Kobi’s love for his community and his wealth of knowledge are an asset in his current position as driver.
Kenneth Kukielka, BA, Driver
Mr. Kenneth Kukielka currently works as a Driver of Seashore Family Services of New Jersey (SFSNJ.) Mr. Kukielka retired from working for the Federal Government after thirty-five years of service. As a government employee, Mr. Kukielka was an Assistant Area Director for the U.S. Social Security Administration and worked with a diversity of employees and clients. Upon retiring, Mr. Kukielka chose to re-enter the job market as a part-time driver for SFSNJ. Mr. Kukielka strongly believes his prior professional experiences meshes well with his current position as driver.
Michelle Larsen, MA, Case Manager
Ms. Larsen is a Program Coordinator for the Transitional Housing Program at Seashore Family Services of New Jersey. Michelle came to SFSNJ ten years ago from Early Intervention Program of Monmouth and Ocean County where she coordinated the Ocean County Center. Michelle was the Executive Director of Spring House, a Transitional Housing Program in Monmouth County. Michelle has over 15 years of experience working with at risk mothers and children. Michelle holds a Masters Degree in Psychology from Farleigh Dickinson University and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology from Long Island University. Michelle also taught Psychology at Ocean County College for five years.
Cindy Monsen, LCSW, Licensed Clinical Social Worker Mrs. Monsen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has been working in the social work field for 8 years. She began as a Substance Abuse Counselor in Asbury Park where she also did HIV testing and counseling. While working full time she obtained her Masters Degree at Monmouth University. She has worked at several local agencies and schools including The Mental Health Association of Monmouth County where she helped get the Family Crisis Intervention Program up and running in 2006. She has worked with a diverse population of clientele ages 5 -75 doing outpatient as well as in-home individual and family therapy. She also has 2 years experience working in a private practice setting focusing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In addition, she is a member of The National Association of Social Workers.
Dana Passenti, MA, Ed.D, Alcohol and Drug Counselor Intern Dana has been working in the substance abuse field since 2006. Prior to joining SFSNJ, she worked as a counselor for Gateway Foundation as well as a counselor for the residential male program at Straight & Narrow Inc. Dana holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology as well as Minors in Biology and Substance Abuse from Ramapo College of NJ. In August 2008, Dana graduated with a Masters and Post-Masters degree in Counseling from Seton Hall University. Dana is currently preparing for the LCADC and the LPC exams.
John M. Petrocco, MSW, LCSW, Licensed Clinical Social Worker
John is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides both mental health and substance abuse services to adolescents and adults. He has extensive experience working with adolescents in individual, family and group forums. He also has experience working in inpatient psychiatrics with co-occurring and other mental health disorders. John leads adolescent intensive outpatient groups and adult education groups specific to substance abuse. A trained Pranic Healer, John has undergone extensive training with this National Association of Social Workers approved Eastern Philosophical form of energy healing. While working on his Masters Degree in Social Work, John’s internships offered him experiences working with adults living with severe and persistent disabilities in a partial-care setting, as well as working with voluntary clients in an outpatient clinical therapeutic setting. At this time he is currently seeking his Licensed as Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor in NJ.
Tamatha Rettberg, MSW, LCSW, Licensed Clinical Social Worker Tamatha is a Social Worker with professional experience with children, adolescent and adults in the mental health and the substance abuse counseling field. Tamatha has worked previously inpatient with individuals with mental health disorders, as well as dually diagnosed individuals. Her treatment modality experiences includes outpatient setting as well, a substance abuse intensive outpatient program and partial program for individuals with mental health disorders. She provides individual, family and group counseling across a wide range of issues including; mental health issues, addiction, anger, truancy and defiance. Tamatha is presently facilitating the Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program and also provides services to an adult relapse prevention group. She obtain her professional State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Work in NJ and she is currently working toward her license as Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor.
Christine Scott, BSW, Alcohol & Drug Counselor Intern Christine obtained her bachelors in Social Work from Monmouth University in 2006. Christine currently has 2 years experience working in the social work field with families and individuals. Christine first started working for Seashore Family Services of NJ as a case coordinator for transitional housing program, where she was responsible for case management, coordination of transportation and a group facilitator for single mothers with children. Christine now works as an intake coordinator, group facilitator and case manager for substance abuse clients. Christine is going to be perusing her master’s degree this coming fall at Monmouth University.
Karen Stewart, Alcohol & Drug Counselor Intern Karen Stewart works as a Counselor Intern for Seashore Family Services of New Jersey (SFSNJ) and is responsible for providing substance abuse evaluations and formulates individualized plans and identified treatment criteria. Prior to joining SFSNJ, she worked as a Counselor Aide for the Division of Youth and Family Services. Karen protected children through the identification, assessment, referral, and case-management of clients to substance abuse treatment programs and supportive to the recovery of clients through paraprofessional home visiting. After employed 3 years as a Counselor Aide Karen enrolled in CADC classes. Karen has successfully passed the CADC written test and is in the process of taken her CADC oral exam.
Regina Wixler, Alcohol & Drug Counselor Intern Regina has been an experienced drug and alcohol counselor for ten years. Prior to joining SFSNJ, she has worked with dual diagnosis and outpatient substance abuse clients. Regina also has been successful as residential counselor with both female and male substance abuse clients. She was the supervisor of The Recovery Centers for Women’s providing education on alcohol and drug addiction to families. She is a great team player and believes in the twelve step programs.
