The following individuals are the Officers of SFSNJ and as such constitute its Executive Board:
Albert Petroni, President:
Mr. Petroni has worked as a Prevention Coordinator at the Alcoholism & Drug Abuse Council of Ocean, Inc (ADACO) Since 1998. He attended Trenton Junior College 1966-1968, and he is a retired U.S. Army, Lieutenant Colonel after 22 years of service to our Country. He also served on Plumsted Township School Board from 1992-2007. He joined the Seashore Family Services of New Jersey Board of Directors in 2006.
Mary Ann Ceres, Vice-President:
Mrs. Ceres has worked in the education sector for over 40 years. She has occupied various positions in the education system as a teacher and administrator. Most recently she was the Interim Superintendent of Schools for the Brick Township School District. She is a Master Graduate from Georgian Court College in Education Supervision and Curriculum Design. She currently is an Adjunct Professor in Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in the Alternate Route Teacher Preparation Program. She has received numerous community and professional awards including Educator of the Year by POAC, Teacher of the Year in Ocean County and Teacher of the Year in Brick Township. She is also Past President of the Brick Township Rotary Club. She became a public member at Seashore Family Services of New Jersey’s Board of Directors in 2009.
Phillip L. Lucas, Esq., Treasurer:
Mr. Lucas is Past President of the Brick Township Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the Ocean County Workforce Development Board. He has his own law office in Brick Township since 1976 and has a general practice of law including real estate, elder law, will, estates and trusts, bankruptcy law and business formations. Mr. Lucas has been a member of the Board of Directors since 1982 and has served as President of the Board twice, including his current term
Richard Caldes, Secretary:
Mr. Caldes is currently the Principal in Brick Memorial HS since September 2007. He has occupied various administrative positions in education including Principal at New Egypt High School and Vice-Principal and Athletic Director at Point Pleasant Beach high School. He has also served in the positions of Guidance Counselor, and Business Education Teacher. He has been involved professionally in the educational field since 1985. He earned a Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Georgian Court University and an undergraduate degree in Marketing from Richard Stockton College. He also earned an Educational Doctorate in 2008 from Argosy University, Washington DC. Mr. Caldes brings to our Board a rich experience dealing with adolescent issues in the educational field as well as his administrative experience. He joined Seashore Family Services' Board of Directors in 2008.
Dana A O’Connor, RN, BSN, Board Member:
Mrs. O’Connor is currently the Public Health Nursing Supervisor at the Long Beach Island Health Department. She has working experiences in the delivery of healthcare system in the private and public sector for over 30 years. She is a registered Nurse in New Jersey and she possesses a BSN degree from Farleigh Dickinson University. She has professional affiliations with the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association and the American Nurse Association. She joined SFSNJ Board of Directors in 2010.
Kathleen A. Martin, RN, LSW, Board Member:
Ms. Martin is currently the Nurse Manager of the Pediatric unit and the Family Health Center at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ. She has over 29 years experience in the healthcare field as a nurse in various direct care positions and in a supervisory capacity. She is a Licensed Social Worker with a Master's degree from Fordham University in NY. She joined the Seashore Family Services' Board in 2008. She is involved in various professional organizations including the National Association of Social Workers, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. She also volunteers with the St. Dominic Parish Nurse Council. She was a member of the Brick Municipal Alliance in 1998-2002 and member of the Northern Ocean Domestic Violence Response Team, 2001-2003.
Denise Purdy Thompson, S.A.C. , Board Member:
Mrs. Purdy-Thompson is a highly qualified education professional with more than 30 years experience as an adult guidance counselor, middle school teacher and most recently as elementary Student Assistance Coordinator. She possess a Masters Degree in education from Georgian Court University and a Bachelors in elementary education from Kean University. She is certified as a Student Assistance Counselor, Pupil Personnel Services and elementary school teacher. She worked as an elementary teacher, guidance counselor and elementary student assistance coordinator in the Brick Township school system. She is a member of the Ocean County Personnel and Guidance Association, the Ocean County Association of Student Assistance Coordinators and the Student Assistance Association Professionals in New Jersey. She is also a member of the National Association of Children of Alcoholics. She joined the SFSNJ Board of Directors in 2010.
Charles Wehmeyer, Board Member:
Mr. Wehmeyer is currently Financial Advisor at USB in the Manasquan, NJ Branch. He has been a member of Seashore Family Services' Board of Trustees since 1987. He served in the Board and Past-President and Treasurer. Mr. Wehmeyer is also a volunteer on the Board of Preferred Behavioral Health.
